Credit Recovery During Closure

Good morning,

Due to the unexpected school closure, we will follow this procedure for Credit Recovery.

1. Students will return on April 15, 2020. We will extend CR to May 12, 2020. That will give students 8 hours after the postponement for class time in each course.

2. In order for them to keep working, I am authorizing that Unit tests can be taken without having to be supervised (unlocked). Students must still TAKE NOTES for each unit and show them to teachers in order to earn the credit for the exams. If they don't have notes to show, they will be repositioned to the beginning of the unit (s).

3. Finals will be Tuesday, May 5, Wednesday, May 6, Thursday, May 7. If students have 60% or more of the course complete, they will be allowed to take the final on the final days - not before.

4. Students must PASS the final with 60% in order to earn credit for the course. They should be at 50% right now, so I see no issue with them finishing 60% by mid-May.

5. If a student does not complete 60% of the course, the progress will be saved and he/she can finish the course in Summer School or next semester in Credit Recovery.

I seriously encourage all students to work at home these next three weeks to ensure that they can finish the required % in each CR class. If you have any questions, please call 760-499-1810.
