Drum Major information

The Drum Major leads the PEP BAND in addition to leading the BHS Band at football games, parades and various other performances.

Here's a photo of our Pep Band playing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for the USC Band Day (the drum major's on the field in front of our group). The drum major selects Pep Band members from the BHS Band. In the past, Pep Band's performed at both the USC and UCLA High School Band Days.

Drum Major tryouts occur on the Saturday after band orientation in May. Drum majors compete in L-competition including the May 9 audition from 9am to 11am. Drum Major training is at King High School (Riverside), Sunday, May 17 from 9am to 6pm. and Geo. Parks' DMA at UCR, July 17 - 21, 2009.
Parker and/or Booster scholarships may assist the BHS Drum Major if applications are made and processed in time.
