The Fall Play
Some of your friends have already seen it. Don’t miss out! Buy a ticket to the fall play, or more precisely, three shortened Shakespear plays that are funny, rife with death scenes, and feature your BHS peers. THe box office opens Friday at 6:30, with the show at 7. Or go to the matinee at 2 o’clock on Saturday. Tickets are ten dollars at the box office and after school in PAC5.
Book Club
We have a meeting tomorrow at lunch. Do you want to learn or talk about book-based entertainment? Do you want to chat with other kids who love books but may view the world a little differently than you do? Do you like snacks? Come to PAC 5 at 12:10 tomorrow for Book Club. We are a fun group.

The Houchin Bloodmobile will be on campus on Friday, Nov 14th. If you are at least 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds, you can donate blood and help save a life. Ask your History, Economics, or Government teacher for the permission slips to sign up. If you have any questions, come to P-2. Forms are due November 7th to P2.

At SSUSD, we recognize that many families face challenges on a regular basis.
Recently, we’ve become aware of increasing difficulties impacting families employed through the U.S. federal government and those who typically receive SNAP benefits. To help, we’d like to share a few specific (though not exhaustive) community resources that offer support with food, laundry, showers, and transportation.
For additional support and information, please reach out to our SSUSD Family Resource Center at 1305 N. Norma Street or 760-499-1780 and Community Schools Program Coordinator at sdastrup@ssusd.org.
We’re also excited to announce that later this week we’ll be releasing a flyer with details on how you can conveniently donate non-perishable food items at all SSUSD school sites in preparation for Thanksgiving. These donations will be distributed to several of the local organizations mentioned above.
